Letter to the Editor

I do not live near the proposed wind farm and I am not taking sides in the pro or anti discussion; I can see reason both ways. I suspect it will go ahead regardless of what anyone thinks anyway. That is how corporations work.

I do wonder though – what is in this for the people who are directly affected by the wind farm? And others in the surrounding district? What are the local benefits? Will electricity be supplied locally much cheaper than before?  Or will it all be sent off down the lines to Melbourne? If it’s not cheaper locally – why not?
