Police Report – Dec. 2019

It’s just starting to get in to the festive season so please take care when driving on the roads, either to or from a holiday destination or just to visit family and friends. Remember if you are going out to enjoy the festivities then please arrange a designated driver or call a taxi or take the courtesy bus, not only will Police be out during this time you don’t want to miss out on being there with your family and friends. There is still the issue of the car towing mattresses out this way and dumping them, so if you see the vehicle please call ‘000’, Police Assistance Line 131444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 – the more information you provide the better Police can deal with them. Also there have been a number of reports of people going onto private property and stealing signs or stickers, whatever your opinion of this wind farm, if you enter or take someone’s personal property it is theft and you may have to explain yourself to the courts. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and we should respect everyone’s right to their opinion. Just because you disagree with them, doesn’t mean you can steal their property. Fire restrictions come into effect on 16 December 2019, so get your property ready
prior to this date.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas and a great New Year.
Matthew Ryan,
Leading Senior Constable,
Boolarra Police Station.
