The year has flown by and Christmas is nearly here, then we will be celebrating another New Year. It has been a busy one again and lot is happening around our town.
Kids, don’t forget your letters to Santa. The Santa Letterbox is up again and ready. We have our Christmas stock in now and it is selling well. We have a couple of different things this year so pop in for a look. We have a range of soft toys as well as some great books.
Also on the shelves are souvenirs to send to family and friends overseas or to take yourselves as gifts when you travel overseas.
I suppose we are all hoping the rain gives us a break so the Christmas Carols can be held in our lovely park, as it is always a great atmosphere.
The park is looking great these days and The Rail Trail is back in use again. Don’t the new bridges look fantastic? We are so lucky to have some great places to go for a walk and a picnic, and a ride too if you’re fit enough. All nice and close to the town centre too. The Old Mill Site is another place to have a nice walk. There are some places that we haven’t even been to yet but we will. The Morwell River Falls are a great spot for a picnic or just a bit of fishing or reading, but do wear sturdy footwear as it can get slippery under foot.
We also have the Lions Christmas cakes, small and large. These were very popular last year and very handy to have in the pantry in case of unexpected guests.
Just a reminder, the Post Office will be closed on the 25, 26 and 27 December and also the 31 December. Please ensure you collect all your parcels by the 23rd so that you don’t miss out on any pressies that have come by mail.
That’s it for now from your Post Office. “The Heart of Boolarra”
