Wool Group – March. 2011

We have been back to our regular meetings for 7 weeks now, refreshed and ready for another social and productive year.  Hopefully we’ll come up with some very exciting group projects again like the teddy bear making that we all enjoyed so much.  I know there are quite a few of us who would like repeat this lovely experience.

Lori invited us all to her beautiful new home, and was very happy to give us a grand tour before we all settled down to work.  It was obvious that Lori had put much thought into the planning of her and Steve’s new home, and we spent a lovely relaxing day there.  Thank you for your hospitality Lori.

Menga had some very exciting news to share with us.  She and Ian are looking forward to becoming Grandparents in the near future, so I presume most of her efforts will be in producing lots of lovely very small knitted garments from now on.

By the time this has gone to press we would have enjoyed an excursion to Nickelby At Darnum, an alpaca farm and shop, where we’ll be enjoying a walk and talk and then coffee and cake in the café.  But more of that next time.

We meet every Thursday from 11.30 am to approximately 3.30 pm in the Multi Purpose Building; and we share a lovely lunch.  If you would like to join us, please contact Lois Thornton 5169 6618
