Jeerelang Boolarra Cricket Club, Panthers – March. 2011

As the current season has now come to a close, I have the up most pleasure off announcing that for the first time in many years, after witnessing some nail biting games to finish of the season the Jeeralang Boolarra Cricket Club will see both senior sides facing up this weekend in Grand Finals. After completion of the last round in the regular season the Panthers finished on top of the 2nd grade ladder and 2nd in the 3rd grade ladder sending both sides into semi finals to face Moe and Hazelwood North. It was a very close semi final in 2nd grade with the boys managing to pull off a triumfort win against Moe after been bowled out for only 58 and the 3rd grade boys pulling off a hard fort win over Hazelwood North by 4 runs and 2 wickets.

The Grand final matches are to be played on the 19th of March at Yallourn North and Maryvale Reserve with the Panthers to face Latrobe in 2nd grade and Moe in the 3rd grade.

It’s a incredible situation that club has never been in before, The reason why the club is where we are today is due to the hard work, determination and dedication show by players and members of Jeeralang Boolarra Cricket especially the time and effort put in week to week by the committee members. Everyone that is a part of the club should be proud of themselves and those around them and should be looking towards bringing home both premier ship cups that are well over due.

Presentation night is on the 25th of March at the Boolarra Football Netball rooms. The night will start at 7:30pm with Tea being provided and awards to follow. All are welcome and we hope to see you there to help us celebrate the wonderful success and achievements of both the club and players.
