On Tuesday 1st February a group of 15 members set out on a trip to Yarra Junction to visit the Blue Lotus Water Gardens. After a stop in Nerrim South for morning tea and a chat of course, we got back in the bus on a very hot day to arrive at the garden about 11:15 am.
After admiring the gardens for a few hours we were feeling hot and bothered, so we found a shady pavilion to sit for a rest and to cool down. We then headed back for lunch, where we sat overlooking a small lake filled with beautiful lotus and water lilies. After a quick look around the nursery we decided to head back home as the day was just getting hotter. After a short stop again at Nerrim South for drinks and ice cream we arrived safe and sound back in Boolarra.
Our next trip is to visit a garden in Leongatha and perhaps a stop at a nursery as well. Any enquires please contact Jill Simmonds 5169 6516
